I've been away from deviantART for a long, long time.
I left in the first place primarily because I got tired of the ego-stroking, painfully-nice culture, and even after I got interested again a year or so later, I was quickly scared off by the influx of astonishingly-insipid chat kiddy types who'd colonized the place in my absence. But since the admins finally clamped down on the GIANT MOTHERFUCKING BILLBOARDS OF GAYTARDED ANIMATED AVATARS much of the Deviant population was putting in their sigs, I now find I can actually visit this place without being sent into a murderous rage.
So maybe I'll hang around a bit.

Well, I had the first submission to the new Comic Strips section, and I gave it up. It was a blatantly blashphemous little Al & Gideon stip I colored for the rabidly-atheist Spike http://www.ironcircus.com and, sadly but unsurprisingly, a bunch of folks found it more than a little offensive. So I took it down voluntarily.
If you're interested, the offending image is available upon request, and will have a permanent public residence eventually.
Update: as promised (way too long ago), our juvenile little religion-bashing pic is available for public viewing here http://www.groovepit.com/files-external/jewonastick.jpg and it wants to hump you
